Baby 04:12
Can't wait for you to see this place Maybe you can feel the water on your mother's skin Maybe you can hear your father's voice Or the barking dog when the boat comes in I can see you building castles in the sand Build them up high like only you can Build them to the heavens where your auntie stands Build them with imagination and your bare hands You'll be mesmerized by the swaying tree tops The wind that blows so hard across the lake The fire burning brightly in the wood stove The love we all have for you to take Your mind will surely drift just like a cedarstrip Adrift on spirits calling out your name Down comes the danger and up go the flames Changing forever but always the same

On a scale of 1 to 10 I am a 9 Nine for all the times I made you cry Try to see the stillness in your eyes Behind the rain clouds are blue skies A friend of mine was sitting on a dream Inside a window well it seems I saw it in his eyes at seventeen Hiding there but wanting to be seen Hope is like a sign along the way Giving you direction to your day Sometimes they don't mean just what they say Throw you like a stone into the lake Hope...

Great depth of water Black under blue skies Ripples from the wind blow Like children's distant cries Boy leans on the fencepost Linking to forever more A father's eyes are broken He's been here before I tried so hard to hold it But the flood came on so hard The wall of water grabbed me And made me a floating guard Your childhood still moves me As I grow old with time And you remain the young one Holding stars inside my mind I called you when I came out On the steps down in queens park Our conversation lingers And the feelings left a mark I don't know where you are now I don't know where you'll be I know from where you came And the day you walked with me

Oh yeah she's a lot like you but I wouldn't kiss her Oh yeah she's a lot like you but I wouldn't miss her Like the way I'm missing you And the things we like to do together Oh yeah she's a lot like you but I wouldn't kiss her Oh yeah she's a lot like you but I wouldn't miss her Cause you're the only girl With whom I want to see the world To be places I've never been To see places I've never seen Oh yeah Oh yeah she's a lot like you but I wouldn't kiss her Oh yeah she's a lot like you but I wouldn't miss her Like the way I'm missing you And the things we like to do together

Pang For You 06:38
Watched a movie the other day About real things that were blown away Went up to bed and made love to you Where the walls were on fire and the ceiling too You can block it out so easy these days Just plug in your ears and it will all be erased Will all these devices merge into one So we'll never look up for the setting sun In the movie the scenes were the same The people were different and the dust fell like rain We talked of the world like it just got reviewed And there was nothing that anyone of us could do Once in a while I'll get this pang for you I'll tremble inside like it's something new And the night falls softly on the chosen few And black emerges from the deepest blue Right now in some dark back alley of man A kid feels his way through a garbage can And in jungles so deep that you can't see the land A civilization is just running to stand You can block it out so easy these days Just plug in your ears and it will all be erased Centuries decades and years went and came And we never looked up to see the change Once in a while I'll get this pang for you I'll tremble inside like it's something new And the night falls softly on the chosen few And black emerges from the deepest blue

Patchwork 05:54
It's a habit It's a patchwork It's sporadic It's a love I have Lonely river boats Some will stay afloat Some will call this home Some will stink like stones Baby you've got a spring in your step these days And I can't find a pick me up but I'm trying Oh I'm trying It's a habit... Had a dream last night I was young maybe just five I was swinging from a rope All the people gave me hope Baby you've got a spring in your step these daysAnd I can't find a pick me up but I'm trying Oh I'm trying It's a habit... There was grampa and his stache And all the colours seems to match And my sisters on the ground No longer are around Baby you've got a spring in your step these daysAnd I can't find a pick me up but I'm trying Oh I'm trying

Silver Angel 10:56
Silver angel - wish I had you - flying in the night Take my insides - turn them out - that don't make it right I like your spirit when I'm failing you They can't count you out you know you put in the long long hours Ain't nothing like your spirit when I'm failing you Wish I could help you out but I'm under you All these stories - will they come true - and what happens if they do It's like hell now - when you're away - and that's my point of view I like your spirit when I'm failing you They can't count you out you know you put in the long long hours Ain't nothing like your spirit when I'm failing you Wish I could help you out but I'm under you You asked what I wanted But I just couldn't describe it And that's my everyday now That's my everyday now When will it stop no one knows How high will it rise? How low will it go? When no one knows when will it stop You train your whole life and never reach the mountaintop

Sunrise 04:05
Do you ever spend the night in the rain? The sky falling down brings it all back again You can taste it It's everlasting You can waste it You don't know what you're missing Do you ever spend the day in a dream? Caught between two lives on the balance beam You don't know it But you are my sunrise Come up slowly Rising in my burning eyes You know these rocks were made from the sand And the confusion inside I don't understand We are lonely We thought we had it all Here's the number You gotta give it a call This is the loneliest day I've found This is the loneliest day I've found You can taste it It's everlasting...

500 years ago down in Peru I met a gorgeous woman there with stones in her shoes She said she'd always wanted to be A runner in the Andes I thought she was crazy but she proved me wrong She went up and down the mountain With a message for the emperor she served Still I can't get over her and all the things she did She took me to the plaza when I was just a kid We rode on llama back Up the mountain path I wish I had asked if she would marry me She went up and down the mountain With a message for the emperor she served She died in 1500 before the Spaniards came She was only 20 and I don't recall her name They say that when the stones are thrown Someone dies inside I remember hiding When they took her body down She went up and down the mountain With a message for the emperor she served
